The groveFACTOR talent showcase offers students the chance to show off their talents and to receive advice from high profile musicians. 

There will again be total cash prizes worth £200 with an overall prize for the coveted groveSTOCK cup.

Last Years Winners

The winner of the coveted groveSTOCK cup and awarded most talented performer was Sophie Simonds aged 11, from Broomfield House School. Sophie played Russian Fantasia No. 2 by Leo Portnoff on the violin and Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin on the saxophone. Sophie won a cash prize of £60.00.

Other winners were:

Most promising performer - Courtney Woodman aged 11, from Grove Park Primary School, who sang "Summertime" from the Gershwin opera Porgy and Bess and won £40.
Most entertaining performers - Taga Obano-Cox and Kareba Kariuki, both 11 from Grove Park School, who sang an Aly and AJ song, "On the Ride" and won £40 between them.
Best Band - Rockfire - Joshua Finerty and Max MacGregor both 10, from Unicorn School  - who had written their piece for drums and electric guitar themselves and £60 between them.

The awards were presented by celebrity DJ and broadcaster Mike Read and our main sponsor Andrew Nunn of Andrew Nunn Associates.
